Exploring The Pearl of The Cheasepeake

Our sailboat is done getting the last few jewels on her crown and for the first time since January will be in the water. While the guys at the yacht yard have been working hard, we have been taking a break and exploring Rock Hall.

Get The Scoop ice cream shop is one of our favorites. They use local Kilby Cream ice cream, and you can taste the love. We have ice cream almost everyday, sometimes for dinner.

Ford’s is a local diner and seafood market, that serves breakfast all day. We have frequented Fords many times for breakfast and lunch. Their shrimp salad and western omelet are my favorite so far.

One of the greatest things about Rock Hall is that you can bike everywhere. If you don’t feel like biking, there is a tram service. For $1 the tram will take you anywhere in Rock Hall.

We will be in Rock Hall for a little while longer, and we look forward to seeing more of ” The Pearl of The Cheasepeake”.

  1. It was great meeting you guys at Sailing Emporium last week! I am so excited about your adventure – and want to be like you when i grow up. First step is working on a captains license…will have to talk about this with Brian some time. Hope to see you freebirds soon. Jane (Gem)
